The hen weekend has happened and we have survived it
Started off the weekend with a filthy cooked breakfast
Then onto the spa where we spent most of our day either in the pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room or just chilling on the loungers by the side of the pool before our massages. I enjoyed my massage and it was much needed, but we all agreed that scalp massages are quite possibly the most pointless treatment ever. None of us particularly enjoyed that part of it. But we had a very enjoyable day
Then we went to a wetherspoons to meet everyone else for the cocktail class. There was another hen night passing through and their bride was so drunk she had to be carried INTO the bar   turns out they were the cocktail class before us. It wasn't long before we understood why she was so drunk.
The cocktail class was amazing. He demonstrated each drink which was then given to the bride before we all had a go at making our own! We made mojitos, cosmopolitans and sex on the beach. We even had a go at layering the different colours
The hen bags were all very well received :T
We all had three cocktails and a shot each before going to our reserved area for more cocktails and laughterWe were very good and on the last bus back to my house. We were home just after midnight. Then came the shenanigans :rotfl:  vodka aplenty, playing about on the dartboard, laughing, joking, dancing and fun fun fun :j
We all went to bed at 4.30am
And then up again at 10.30. To say that we were hanging would be an understatement
But plod on we did and we[STRIKE] dragged ourselves[/STRIKE] went for the meal. The restaurant did a fab job of setting up the tables with my crackers and sweetie bags which again were very well received
And now it is all done! Both me and bridey are absolutely exhausted but she had an amazing weekend and my hard work paid off
And now I'm off for a bath and early night :rotfl:I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards. I'm far too hanging to have even thought about it :rotfl:
That said, we waited for one bus that filled up with bodies at our stop so we waited for the next one, which wasn't a good idea considering our states :rotfl:I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards. Glad you all had a good time.0 -
Oh my goodness didn't realise was your hob that smashed thought was just the salt cellar.
So you are managing without a cooker like me.
The salt cellar remained whole. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: It cost all of a pound as opposed to the hob being :eek::eek::eek: Gas bbq came in handy. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Seriously, I was very lucky. The policy that I have for breakdowns also covered accidental damage. I was gobsmacked that it was covered and it got replaced very quickly.0 -
Evening all
Just back from a nice evening meal out. Groupon of course.
DH is struggling with something sad in RL so have booked a weekend away in Penrith for his birthday in 2 weeks 2 nights DBB £138 :money:
I have been very mse this weekend Doubled up nectar vouchers to get 4 bottles. The rose recommended by Fernie. Thanks
Got my free cider and only spent a few pounds on bits and pieces. Need to empty my freezers so maybe a few surprise dinners this month before we go on our cruise at the end of the month :T0 -
I still can't believe the hospital did that to you MKS  glad you put a complaint in. That is such an awful thing to happen to anyone a lot of us know how it feels to be told a parent has passed away
their procedures need looking into so the mistake does not happen again....
It wasn't a good time, TS. Afterwards, when they said that it wasn't my Dad that had died, I felt dreadful for the family that it had happened to. I do hope that it doesn't happen to someone else. Will await the outcome of the complaint.0
