My local Morries closes today . Very sad day for the staff, Braintree also losing their Morries today

I'm thinking that I may do the 28 mile round trip to Mr M in Ipswich , once a fortnight or once a month and stock up on their meat, it's such good quality stuff :T

Need more coffee and check the menu at a local pub or three as I feel the need to go out to lunch. Or it might be more :money: to go on Monday and go for a carvery :T. Most places charge more for Sunday carvery around here . Tight boogers :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

But 2 for 10 weekdays is much better value. And probably less busy.

We've been before Seren on a Sunday, 6 of us :eek: by the time you pay for drinks the bill has nearly doubled :eek: not that I'm mean, and dh certainly isn't. He never looks for a bargain in a meal :cool:

When I lived further away from the family, we used to meet regularly at a lovely pub about halfway between us, mostly for a weekend lunch and the bill was around £70 for 3 adults and a toddler. I wouldn't spend that now.
