You are right - just re-ordered for Tiesday delivery and it comes with a free Epsom printer. He fully this one will be fine but I think I will just plug it in, connect to the web and run it for a couple of days before installing anything else. Although I ought to install windows defender fairly quickly.

Thansks to all who offered advice.j

Windows Defender is already installed on Windows 10 machines, you just have to get rid of whatever else they put on it or Defender defaults to off. I have an HP lappie with Windows 10 I got as a refurbished off Ebay at the end of last year, runs lovely :) They do seem to be a bit more susceptible to adware though, I installed malwarebytes and run it quite frequently

    Right
Seems windows 10 does auto updates with no option to decide what you install or when.
So when it is due to update can you plug it in near your router (with an ethernet cable even better) and close as many programs as possible and leave over night. See if it can then manage the problem update and then you would be able to use office on it again

It does however allow you to choose to update when you power down or not.

    Thank you.

Go quick and upload your receipt quick - from previous experience it could disappear and stocks will be low before you start (remember around pancake day!).

Despite offers disappearing from the available offers lists, i don't think there have been any issues getting paid ?
