If something like a financial stop mechanism through a friend/family member existed during my manic periods I could have potentially avoided my bankruptcy and more importantly, further detriment to my mental health. It's a dark place to be at the time but the aftermath makes it hell.
I hope together with the regulators they can create a workable solution to help thousands grappling their finances and battling mental health issues.
