How long do the 'last 3 months bank statements' last?

Hello,

We're hoping to apply for a mortgage in the not too distant future and to speed things up I was going to order my last 3 months bank statements as I've read that some lenders don't accept printed/downloaded copies from internet banking.

As an example if my last statement ended 26th February, how long would that give us to apply before they needed a more recent statement? Is last 3 months the last 3 full calendar months?

I bank with Lloyds and believe I can get the first set of statements posted for free then after that it's £5 a go but it's the time delay I'm more concerned about. If I go into a local branch are they able to print them then and there for free? Hoping someone has some experience/expertise in this area.

Thanks in advance.

You need to match with your latest three months' payslips.

ie If your payslips are Dec, Jan, Feb your bank statements need to show Dec, Jan and Feb salary credits.

You can supplement postal statements with an online transaction list in many cases. Check your chosen lender's requirements.

I'll order the statements now as they'll show my last 3 salary credits, I don't get paid until towards the end of the month and hope to apply in the next couple of weeks.

    Thanks for the quick reply.
  • I bank with lloyds and they printed them out in branch and stamped them for me for free.

I also bank with Lloyds and had them printed and stamped in branch, they also verified my ID at the same time :)
    Good luck!
