Great news, I'm locked into my mortgage deal until 31/1/19 so hopefully I'll be able to get another great fixed rate before it goes up.

They're just regular people, wanting to buy a house. You can read as much as you like into it, but like I say, you're out of touch.

No, I know exactly how they're feeling. They think the best thing to happen is for circumstances to change in their favour. I know this because that's how I and most people would think.

It works like this; I assess the 'goodness' of something by the effect it has on me and my family first then the effect on the people in my monkey sphere. Only then do I consider the overall effect on others and take a wider view.

Remarkably I remain the only person to have ever admitted to considering self interest during an Internet debate.

I would agree with that most of the base of hpc are normal people the problem is they have created a den of confirmation bias and sillyness.

If they were honest to themselves they would find out that hpc is mostly a gang of men who want to buy the above average house on a below average wage and only by themselves.

As such you get gems like people in Telford a very cheap area arguing that prices are unaffordable because you know they were cheaper 20 years ago!

Good luck to all of them. I honestly fell sorry for most of them.

Sorry, I meant my friends and acquaintances are just regular people. I doubt any of them frequent any internet forums, and would never have heard of HPC. But yes, agree broadly with the sentiment above.

    OMG...

    Just seen on the news.
Interest rates are probably staying at this level until 2021 and may even.....FALL....:j

Think that will see me over the finishing line.
TBH..Never dreamed it would stay low like this. What a bonus.

excellent though I can't forget the old parents saying 'low interest rates held "heard it all before"

    until 2017:D
