Hotpoint tumble dryer

I found out that my Hotpoint vented tumble dryer was recalled because of a possible fault (it may set on fire) so I was offered a repair date of May or I could buy a special offer priced condensing tumble dryer for £99 instead of £299. Seemed like a bargain so I ordered it & it was delivered on March 1st. Put some washing in to dry & because it's in a small downstairs toilet/laundry room within 10 minutes the walls were running in water. There was water in the dryer reservoir so it's not faulty. I'm wondering if I can send it back & either get my money back or have it exchanged for a vented model? Not sure what my rights are buying online & not liking what I've bought. I would appreciate any help as to what to do,cheers:sad::sad:
