Since this happened:

I have used my multi-buy bogof stocks [Waitrose, qtrly or thereabouts, one just recently]. On last one now.

What have discerning msers picked up on as decent, passable substitute, please?

Sorry that wasn't my intention, Its just what I did when I didn't want to keep buying that style of coffee. I do also drink instant, they are both fine. If you like strong flavoured instant, try Carte Noire, it doesn't have the fine ground for a filter style coffee, but it has a good flavour. Of course I assume you tried Nescafe Azera?

Have you tried the Lavazza instant? There have been some good offers at Asda lately but it is usually a little on the pricy side.
