HSBC Loan Application

I applied for a loan on Tuesday and received an email this morning stating
‘Your recent HSBC Personal Loan application
Thank you for your application. We’ve referred your application to our underwriters and we will contact you within 5 working days. However, during busy periods it may take up to 10 working days.’
Is this normal? I'd like to think I'm in good financial health so I'm confused by this.

its not that unusual, you didnt 'pass' on their initial view of your application, (this could be for a million reasons) but you didnt 'fail' either. You are in the middle and its being sent for an actual human to review. You'll know soon enough.£1000 Emergency fund No90 £1000/1000
