Been a quiet month here. My standing order came out again this month so that is another £100 overpayment. No other over payments and my its going to be a very tight month managing my joint account. My current account is also in a not great shape. I have two months worth of expenses I will try to claim this week which should revive my current account to the tune of £200 approx.
Still waiting for my £60 cashback from my house insurance to be paid but I have an estimated date of 14/4 for payment. I have also bought wedding insurance and I have £16 tracked for that.
I need to request my online banking details from nationwide as I feel being able to go online and see the balance go down would be more motivational rather than waiting for the end of year statement0 -
Welcome!!!! Work out how much you save by putting the extra £100 into your mortgage- you'll find it a real motivator.

I agree with Firegirl - playing with OPs on a spreadsheet can be so motivating!
And all the little things really do add up (bits of cashback transferred the mtge, any ebay/ facebook/ gumtree sales, unexpected bonus of someone paying for something you'd budgeted for etc)

Just realised I have £31 worth of Boots points. So I was thinking maybe I can treat myself sometime. I also have £17 of nectar points but I generally save these up and then buy stuff for the house in homebase. Last year I bought enough paint to paint the outside of my house plus a nice new shiny kitchen bin with my nectar points.0

Just realised I hadn't updated in ages. I have now made a total of £1,400 in overpayments and will have another £200 to go in on Saturday. Mortgage now down to £104.8k0

Mortgage now down to £102.7k now. Had an expensive year as got married last year and I am now expecting my first child. I am please I have continued to overpay each month. However, no extra overpayment as all spare money has been sucked up by wedding expenses, baby stuff and I changed jobs so I had to buy a car (but I didn't take out a loan as I didn't want to be stuck paying a loan on mat leave).0

Exciting stuff! Pretty good that you've managed to keep to the o/p even with all these events! Not long until you're under 100k!0
