Once the money is in my account I am going to cancel the loan. I just had an urge of stupidness!0
-
So what you going to do about the laptop you need ?
I guess it's more of a want than I need - I can cope without a laptop for a while.
On the topic of cancelling the loan, I am on live chat to someone now and they say they are generating a cancellation quotation for me. Surely this shouldn't cost anything?0 -
Shouldn't do. Or not more than a day's interest at worst.0

Maybe not, is it within the cooling off period they offer (if they offer one.)
All you had to do was go to the 118118 money website,
It says "Remember – you’ll need to return not only the money you’ve borrowed but also any daily interest that has accrued"0 -
hi,
The world is awash with lightly used good 2nd hand machines for example
plenty of refurbished top name laptops on ebay for £200-£250. Id cancel the loan and grab one of these to do you for the next couple of years while you save.
good luck0 -
You can rent a laptop now from somewhere likes Hughes - think it started at £14 on a per month basis I noticed the other day, so people's options are opening up like never before I think you'll find.0

Most retailers offer 0% finance on laptops?0

how i can to contact you ?0

May we assume that your credit rating is so bad that you cannot get finance from a retailer, a loan from your bank or a credit card and are therefore forced to resort to obtaining money from this type of lender at payday-loan type interest rates?
This interest rate .... is 103.87% the APR or what?
Why do you need such an expensive laptop especially if your financial situation is so dire?
If you really have £1000 in your account, then why are you unable to get any 'normal' credit?
Also not sure that you can cancel a loan once the money is in your bank account. You will either have to settle it (by repaying all you owe plus interest for the time you have had it and in all probability some sort of early settlement fee as well) or default it.0
