[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]On 26 May 1969, John Lennon & Yoko Ono moved into the Queen Elizabeth Hotel in Montreal for the historic seven-day bed-in protest against violence in the world. On 01 June, the last day of the bed-in, John posted lyrics on the hotel room walls for a spontaneous group recording.[/FONT]
[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]This DVD captures the actual live recording of 'Give Peace a Chance' as it was recorded at the sit-in. This song was later to become a world-wide hit and the universal anthem for world peace. Captured on film and video by various visitors over the seven days. Give Peace a Song documents the events that took place in the infamous suite 1742. This new 45 minute production contains exclusive rare film from the archive of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation with outtakes from John and Yoko's own movie of the event. [/FONT]
[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]This unique and historic release contains new interviews with many of the people that were with John and Yoko on the momentous occasion along with a private new interview with Yoko herself. Give Peace a Song also features over 35 minutes of bonus material including television interviews, a John and Yoko press conference, Petula Clark's visit to the bed-in and a staggering wealth of footage that has been held captive for over 35 years. Also contains previously unseen photographs by Gerry Deiter, the only photographer given 24 hours access to the bed-in. [/FONT]
