Why does it only have a capacity of 80gb when its a 250gb drive??
....."The HD-HB80U2 has a capacity of 80Gb and runs at 7200 rpm. "0 -
Well that would be because they and you have quoted the incorrect model number for the product - its the HD-HB250U2 and not the The HD-HB80U2.0

Or you could buy the Gericom 250Gb external hard drive from Aldi at the same price
Thanks to all who post constructively.

The Gericom one (Seagate Barracuda drive) also acts as a USB hub (two usb 2 ports on the front) and a 6 in 1 card reader.

That is a very good price - not much more than the bare drive itself, and you get free delivery. I may consider this as a backup solution - much faster and more convinient (and cheaper) than backing up to DVDR or tape.0

That is a good price. My problem is that I have only USB 1 ports on my PC, it would take forever!! Anyone know how easy it is to replace these with USB 2 ports??
