Not meaning to derail but my broker worked in the estate agency and the solicitors were appointed by the estate agency. Given that I was previously rejected two years ago by my own bank of 15 years - I believed everyone performed their job exceptionally. My dream came true.0

There's always an inherent danger when recommendations are made based on financial gain rather than best advice, i.e. at arms length.0
