New Global Financial Crisis?

Hi People! Just read an article about the possibility of a new global financial crisis in the near future. How do you think this would impact savings and the housing market?
Should we use our savings to buy a house now at the top of the market, or should we hold out until a possible house price crash, but risk losing the value of our savings? It would be a win-lose situation for us - we just don't want to lose more than we win!
Any thoughts, advice?

The housing market in the UK will be not be directly impacted by the global economy. Why should it.0

We were hoping for a bit for information, such as a source.

There is no information. Anything anybody posts will just be their viewpoint, their opinion - they might be right, for their road/town, but you live elsewhere and have different needs/opinions and requirements.0

I'm aware of that. I'm interested in opinions as part of my research.0 -
Then your research should take into account.Lord King says in his new book, the exclusive serialisation of which starts in The Telegraph this weekend.
Doesn't mean that his views are widely held at the current time.0
