I see what you're saying rog. I don't want to sound as if I'm trying to do anything unscrupulous, but in the position I'm in now I don't have a lot of options left.
I've carried these debts for years, always kept the accounts up to date despite being on longterm incapacity benefit in Britain for four years. I came over here with £35K on the cards two years ago and even though it would have been relatively easy for me to disappear then, I never even considered it.
But when I think of how much I've paid back in interest over the years (probably around £800 a month) for 7 years, and still it doesn't make a dent in it......you begin to wonder whether you've actually been taken to the cleaners by these companies.0
