Afternoon

Following earlier post re H job I actually feel quite bad now
I had a *confidential* phonecall from Hs boss earlier. He is actually very understanding and very worried about H's stress levels.
It seems I got a rather one sided view from H originally and he is taking on far too much work - his boss has said he should stop, but H is not taking advice (which is much like him!). So we're both working together without H knowing to get him back on track with his commission and workload.
A large aspect of my role involves training/people management skills and so I'm "training" H tonight on becoming a manager, not losing commission, delegating and time management. Is it sad I'm actually quite excited
he seems to be too!
Hopefully this along with encouragement from his boss will get everything back on track!
Had another NSD! I'm getting used to this

Afternoon all,
Following my super cheap shop last week I have decided I am not buying cheap bread again! It's gone dry and cardboardy so much faster than other bread! I've still got another loaf in the freezer to get through too!
I think H's overdraft shouldn't be too badly dipped into this month so as there's no charges on it I think we can use some of that to pay off some of his CCs as they are accruing interest.
Fingers crossed all goes to plan

Morning all,
I had a nice weekend, chilled and then saw my mum yesterday.
H had an expensive weekend - birthdays and a leaving do.
This weekend I have found it the hardest, I had to spend some money for mothers day and a birthday present for family. I'm getting the itch to book a holiday again. Before our issues we would always save up to go away 2-3 times a year. We just can't justify that this year and now is the only time I've really been bothered about it.
H paid £100 off each credit card yesterday which is good - he's only been making minimum payments so I made sure he paid more this month - especially as his CCs are gaining interest and his overdraft is charge free.
Still tracking the money on the spreadsheet I made and it's good to know where it is all going!
Have a good day x0 -
Hi Everyone!
I haven't updated in a while as been super busy!
We've had some good news at the end of last week - H is getting a big bonus at the end of March.
This will pay off all debt except my car and mortgage! (and one of my HPs was a present for H and nearly paid off anyway so don't want him paying that off!). I am so happy
that means we can start saving to move! And H's inheritance can purely go to house savings which is amazing!
I'm still going to use my spreadsheet to track spending to make sure it doesn't spiral out of control again but I am so happy
HP will be paid off by myself by April hopefully and then we are free to save! Thanks for all your support so far and I have definitely learnt a lesson from this experience! xx 0 -
Yayy!! That's awesome news, I'm so happy for you. Please don't disappear - just because you've not got debt to pay off doesn't mean you can't keep posting to keep an eye on your spending & whatnots! My Debt Free Diary

Hi everyone!
Hope you're all well.
Just a quick update - H should be paid bonus end of this week which will cover all our debts
woohoo!
Still need to be extra careful though as our house is now on the market and the mortgage lender will be checking our statements when we eventually apply for one!
Been a bit naughty this weekend but overall this experience has taught me to watch my spending massively!
