Mortgage help!

Options
Hi, to cut a very long story short, my husband and I are trying to get a mortgage but are struggling as he is self-employed. We have a good deposit and I earn £43,000 a year but because his business is new, his income isn't that high at the moment and all bank lenders we have spoken to just won't take him into account. Does anyone know of any other possibility of us being able to borrow a higher amount? We can easily afford it, have never had an issue with money but what I could get on my own income probably wouldn't stretch to a 2 bedroom flat where we live (we have 2 children so need something bigger). Any ideas will be greatly received.

What matters is the future not the past. Affordability is subjective. Provide some figures and people will be able to respond with some context.

What type of business does your husband run, and how long has he been running it?
