Hi
Without going into to much details does anyone know if it would be possible for me to get a mortgage for a new house even though i've had a few late payments on my current one in the past?
Thanks

Will depend on when and loan to value.
In the last year and 95%, I'd say unlikely.
Under 75% and three or more years ago, I'd say certainty at high street rates.

Thank you both for replying.
Can i just say i don't know anything about mortgages, which includes the jargon etc. I took out a mortage over 10years ago with an ex and all i did was sign the paper work. I understand nothing.
I think it was about 6 i missed and about 6-7 years ago. I paid double for six months after to catch up. But also i have been late with a few more since that, not sure exactly how many.
I've had the same job for 20 years but i was single and an idiot with bills, now i'm in a an excellent relationship and we want to move, however i'm pretty sure my past is going to cause a problem.0 -
Get your reports and speak to a broker. You can get your credit history for free from Noddle or Clearscore.:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

I'm scared to get my history to be honest.
