  • What if i was to say my dad doesnt like banks and he has some cash lying around? Its only 5k.

The only other way to get around my problem is to stall for 3months, put all my 2k a month wage into my savings and use the loan to pay my bills.

I wouldnt be declaring that my girlfriend got the loan why is that hard to understand. And if my mortgage is £448 a month and i earn £2k a month with only a £40 coach loan to pay how on earth is my mortgage not affordable.
Why are some of use being muppets when use have broke some rules in your lives before.

I need to do this because i love the house, i can afford it easily but i havent had enough time to save the deposit asked for by the lender

Nobody who has replied to you is being a "muppet", they've given quite realistic advice. The solicitors will check the source of your dad's funds.

You are here to get people's opinions and thoughts, at the end of the day you can do as you please. If you don't like what people on here have to say you can just ignore it.

Lenders have a very rigorous system when it comes to lending money to make sure their investment is protected. At the risk of sounding rude, they have a lot of smart people working for them so anything you have come up with if getting around the rules they've probably got covered.

Why don't you try and negotiating with the seller to lower the price by £5k?
  • Following the 'Muppets' comment I am kind of hoping you are caught conducting mortgage fraud. Nobody asked you to post here, you did it for advice, if you don't like the advice, be a grown up and jog on!
  • Are you seriously asking that question? We were asked to provide 12 months bank statements for the account our savings were in. I think you need to be sensible here.
