Looking forward to this. ED was incredibly boring compared to the old frontier FE on the amiga.

Do you have to buy a subscription AND a game package?
Wouldn't be happy paying $18000 (you read that right) for the top game package and then forking $12 each month

You only have to buy the game. No subscriptions.

Chris Roberts repeatedly says this is not a pay to win game. You can actually earn credits in game (like ED, hopefully without the excessive grind) and buy all the ship.

the subs are for people who like to contribute a monthly amount to help fund the games development.

There are no subs required to actually play the game.
