Help to buy ISA closing account

Hi

We are just about to sign our contracts but our solicitor has said that we must close our help to buy buy ISA before we sign, she hasn't come across these ISA's before so she isn't sure how they work? Has anyone else gone through this process yet and have you got any tips? All help is very much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

  • Yes you have to go to your bank and close the accounts before exchange. You will get an certificate which you will pase to your solicitor and she will redeem the bonus and pay into the vendor's account.
