Parking near SSE/Odyssey Arena.

Going to a concert at the above arena next week. What are my options for parking, to avoid the car park at the arena? Just can't face the scrum to get out of it.
Thanks

Was there three weeks ago on a Friday night - got there early and parked on the Sydenham Road - got away really easily. Do not park on the footpath - many were booked and check any restrictions.
  • Thanks BigAl will have a look.

If you are just trying to avoid the scrum and not the fee, there is a much smaller car park round the back and tiny one for the hotel beside that. If you get down early enough there is usually one or two spaces as most people dont seem to know about it.

Getting out is a breeze and the cost is just the same.

There are a couple of public car parks at Bridge End and Dalton Street - free in the evening and a short walk from the Odyssey.

    +1

We were down at Slipknot a couple of weeks ago and we parked in that car park at Bridge end. No problems at all getting parked there or with traffic afterwards.

    I assume you mean Eastside:
    Eastside park and ride

I've used it a few times without any problems. I've got a season ticket for the Odyssey car park now though, which works out a bit cheaper and handier.
  • Thanks to all who replied. You have all given me some good suggestions re parking.
