Hey good evening all I received recently a so called ccj off a firm called lowell portfolio and I have seen some threads saying they are con artists etc etc. First things first I haven't received any letters off them to my memory and this ccj they have sent me isn't official no stamp in the top left no court seal and the document isn't signed is this a scare tactic and I'm sure it's illegal to falsify legal documents I wish I could post a picture it looks like it has been poorly attempted by someone on a word document any help or advice I work away mon to Fri so trying to get a hold of them will be fun fun fun thank yw

Lowells are many things, but they don't send fake court claim forms.
Some of the genuine ones are never great printed things, or maybe you have something else?
You may not be able to post a link/pic as a new user.

An actual claim form would look similar to:Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

It says judgment for claimant in default it has a printed stamp it doesn't even look official0

The stamps are printed for the most part on official ones.
OK, that sounds like an actual CCJ judgement, not a claim form.
May look something like:

They are generally even less impressive than a claim form.
Key thing if you are not sure is to ring and check with the court on Monday.
But as said, Lowells do not send fakes of these out.
They are scumbags in many respects, but they don't do that.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

My Mrs has one similar to that but the crest is more central to the letter than in the top left that's why I am suspicious of this company0

They are a lot of things, but sending fake claim forms out to people would be the death knell for there Buisness, as they would be crucified by the FCA, and have there consumer credit licence revoked.
I would treat as genuine, until you can confirm or otherwise, with the court.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
