Exclamation Urgent.. Throwing good money into old cars please help !
Hi my current mini is over 100 000 miles just. Next service in 5000 miles £300 at dealer. There is work to be done totalling Aporox £700
The dealer value of my car is £600.
I have seen a better car Bmw v Reg for £3000 less my trade in.
The car is in mint condition 30000 on the clock.
Insurance diff is £20 a month.
Should I get this car or not or wait till it's totally knackered then look at a real cheapie?
No idea what to do please help would love your views.thanks

better posted on the motoring board I think0

I think you will get a better response posting on the motoring board.
The posters there are pretty good at weighing up depreciation and repair costs0 -
Your almost certain to get a cheaper quote for your service and repairs from a local independent garage, I'd ask family or friends if they can recommend anyone.
Also bear in mind, a V reg car will be around 17 years old.
I'd be inclined to shop around on both counts."We could say the government spends like drunken sailors, but that would be unfair to drunken sailors, because the sailors are spending their own money."
