Compensation for delayed DBS check

Does anyone know how or where to claim compensation for delayed DBS check.I am waiting for my husband DBS for three months now ,I`m not able to start my job,claim benefits or even take any other temporary job.I even will loose my right to get government grant for new business start if his DBS not gonna arrive in next few weeks.Every day I `m loosing around £100 but frustration is even worse:(I read lots of articles how they are struggling with big numbers of checks but this is completely ruining people`s lives and financies.

Can businesses (which is what you appear to be) claim compensation for delayed DBS checks? I doubt it.
