So I entered my first radio competition a few weeks back and they called me this morning- i had to say a certain phrase within 30 seconds and I couldn't for the life of me remember what it was- sounded like an idiot!!! Lost out on an amazing weekend away with the family!! Anyone else had this?? Lesson learnt- gonna write it on my hand next time xx

I got through to a radio competition and they said they would call me back if I was selected to go on air but would only do so many rings before moving onto the next person.. it was to win a prize worth over £500.. anyway... I sat and waited and my phone rang with the station number but in my excitement I hit the reject button instead of the answer button. I tried ringing back but it just went through the stations answer message and missed out on my prize .. I was gutted!£2021 in 2021... £253.86/£20210

Hi,
Please don't beat yourself up on this - being put under stress does things like this.
Back in the eighties I remember making it through the first round of a radio competition and getting four out of five of the "hard" intros. I missed out on the fifth - only I'll be There by the Jacksons - despite broad hints like "hugely popular family band" and for years was mortified whenever the intro was played, especially as i had told all my friends who were screaming the answer at the radio.
I laugh now whenever I hear the intro and still treasure the five albums I won on the David Hamilton Show :eek:Still cracking on....
Wins in 2019: 28 prizes realised value £278:eek:
Wins in 2018: 59 prizes realised value £1,818:coffee:
Wins in 2017: 53 prizes realised value £2,556:j
Wins in 2016: 51 prizes realised value £790
Wins in 2015: 81 prizes realised value £2,065 :beer:0 -

Thank you to all that post & contribute, I think you are wonderful, I could not achieve without your help0 -
Thanks guys, no it was for heart fm to win a snowboarding day in Manchester with hotel stay and spending money for lunch out. I couldn't shake it off yesterday but got a surprise book in post for my son this morning so it's all forgotten now lol. Only started comping in December and have been really lucky so far but it would of been my biggest win to date. On to the next one xx0
