Facebook Filtered Messages

I know Facebook use to have the Others message box and people forgot to check or simply didn't realise it existed. Well that has now gone and I thought all messages came up in the normal message box but I have just clicked on more which is next to the messages and seen I had 1 message in the filtered section (which I didn't know existed) and it was about winning a book so lucky I found it. Just thought I would mention it in case anyone else does not know it is there and may miss a win.

i missed a win this way didn't know anything about it until they contacted me to tell me i was no longer eligible to win the prize as had missed the deadline it was a good one to, was gutted, surprisingly the second message made it to my inbox the winning one was filtered (i always check now) luckily i had a good month with wins so just sucked it up

The filtered messages filtered one from my mum! so I've no idea how they decide to filter them.

I haven't got an option for more.... I click on messages and it gives me a list of recent ones then next to it is message requests....why is mine different?

It depends how you're looking at facebook. On my app I just have messages, but I just looked on the mobile version, scrolled down to the bottom and clicked filtered messages. No prizes but one from a friend who'd contacted me 6 months ago!

My friend missed a win for festival tickets by missing the 'other' messages once, and he really wanted to go but fortunately they were kind enough to postpone his prize for the following years festival

On mine if you click on message requests there is an option to 'see filtered requests'.
