Multi-port usb hub?

Hubby and I both taking iPhones, iPads, Kindles etc for a couple of weeks New Zealand trip and don't want to take multiple chargers, so we wanna grab a suaoki 5 port usb hub, it looks great buttt I'm wondering is it safe to charge 5 devices at the same time? :think:
It's 40W, 8A. And the max output of each port is 2.4A.
