Tracing Letter from Capita

Hi all
Bit of a long shot but maybe someone might know. I recieved a letter today from Capita Tracing Services on behalf of Royal London who it seems are looking for me in regards to something held with them. I used to work for Royal London through an agency and I know I definitely didn't have anything with them.
There is a list of companies that have been amalgamated with RL on there and I know I never had anything with any of them. I rang mum as I know she holds policies with them to check if she had taken one out on my behalf maybe when I was a child or something but she said no.
I've only ever been in two pension schemes in my life- the NHS pension scheme and one when I worked for Santander when they were still Abbey. This one has been long forgotten about and wouldn't amount to much. Would a company such as them contract out their pension services or does anyone know if they did back then? It would be lovely if there's some money about for me but I don't want to waste anyone's time if they made a mistake.
Thanks everyone

They wouldnt use capita if you didnt.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
I have asked but they said just wait for the letter. I just wondered if anyone knew. I know I didn't have any policies with Royal London themselves at that time but I just thought I would throw the question out.*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200

According to this they took over Abbey/Santander pensions, so that could be the answer to your query0
