Body Shop etc?

Options
Hi guys,

New to the forum but have enjoyed 'lurking' over the past few months!

Me and my partner have recently taken out a mortgage and I'm looking at ways to earn some extra income on the side of my current £16k per annum to put straight into savings. I'm currently part of Swagbucks, recently had an Ebay clear out and came across the Body Shop at Home Consultants, Ann Summers parties, Avon reps etc.

Does anyone have any experience with any of the above/similar, and could advise whether it's worth looking into?

Thanks!
Suzie

I was an Avon rep for 9 years, it's not worth it! Definitely not now they have Sales Leaders. My advice is don't do any of these schemes, if you're going into business then set up your own and all the money is yours. With Avon you earn 20-25p in every £1 you sold and out of that you had to pay for brochures, stationary, bags, demo products etc etc etc. You will also have to pay an 'admin' fee just to even join up. The pressure they now put on you to sell and get a team under you is totally unrealistic and you'll have tonnes of clashes over 'territory'. I could go on, but in short- I wouldn't waste your time!

I had a go at Body Shop parties a few years ago. My manager was a bully, push push, push. You have to be an outgoing person. I lost all my friends, they gave me a wide berth to avoid me. I couldn't find people to host the parties. It's a lot of work pestering and chasing people. You have to believe in your products to sell them. I didn't have the commitment.
