Making Cider

We are having a bumper crop of apples from the 3 apple trees we have in the garden. I usually make loads of apple sauce but OH has insisted that this year he is going to make cider
Does anyone know where I can buy large air-tight containers to store the apple juice for it to ferment in? I really don't want this turning into vinegar.
Better still does anyone know where I might be able to buy a small wooden barrel / cask?
Thanks in advance!
Anne

Why don't you join your local Freecycle group and ask if anyone has one that they no longer need?
I am making (well, attempting to make :rotfl: ) wine this year and was given 5 demijohns from a Freecycler.
On Freecycle, everything must be given for free and they ask that you put an offered post on the group before you ask for something.
Why don't you offer some of the apples? Happy BREWING!! :beer:0 -
