I bought some frozen onion rings today but I just noticed on the instructions that they only give instructions for oven or deep frying. Is it possible to put them under the grill instead?

I'd imagine so. They'd probably just have to be heated through wouldn't they?0

I haven't bought any for ages but I've grilled the battered ones before & you can do them on a medium heat in a non-stick pan on the hob,no extra oil needed as they have enough of their own0

I've bought battered or breadcrumbed ones and always oven cook for about 20 mins, I'm sure the grill instructions are around 8 mins or so.0

My father has cooked them in his toaster!!! I wouldn't recommend it, but he won't accept my advice of why he shouldn't.0

I don't use my oven at all, so if I have mistakenly bought something, usually a yellow sticker, that needs baking, I just grill it under a low heat. Always ok.

I would grill on a baking sheet under a medium heat, as the batter is not usually cooked all the way through before they are frozen. about 12 to 15 minutes usually (although mine takes ten minutes to make toast - perhaps I should put the onion rings in the toaster too!00
