There are still some cheap properties around though, this London 'flat' (I wonder if the trade's description act is relevant here) sold for only £79k.

We'll never know, we both 'missed the boat' on this one. Maybe this place is the first of its kind, based on a new model, large properties with a communal kitchen, lounge and bathrooms, and bedrooms within that building for sale? Not an ideal property for sure, but probably no more expensive than renting, and at least what would have been rent, would instead be actually buying something.
