Morning All
Been entering a few magazine comps over the last month and sharing for extra entry's,notice a couple of weeks ago when sharing on Facebook it's saying the post was not published.
Anyone know if Facebook have changed something ?
I just realised that I can't share via Facebook on Sprinkle either !! I assume that's it some thing to do with facebook settings :(

Is it different to the mags where a share lets you enter more if needed but doesn't add an extra entry into the competition you are sharing?

Just read that post and my problems the same http://comps.housetohome.co.uk/competition/1000_GDR_housetohome.php
If i enter this comp i can then email a friend for an extra entry, tweet for an extra entry and post to facebook for an extra entry,it's the facebook that's not posting.
The same with Sprinkle, when you enter the comp you get 1 entry then another 3 for posting on Twitter,3 for sharing on Google + and 3 more for sharing on Facebook (which are registering) !!!
    :(

They currently only have 4 prize draw competitions and as they allow up to 25 entries a day there is no need to share as you can enter the lot and still have 21 entries left over.
If you are sharing it just means you will have even more entries left over but you don't get any extra entries into the 4 competitions that are running.

(If people enter through your link you supposedly get an entry into a monthly draw for £250 for each one that does but when I looked I could not find any winners of that posted since last August on the Now site)

The shares on Sprinkle do actually earn you additional entries into the competition you share.

When you press the share to facebook on sprinkle nothing happens and I don't get the 3 extra entry's for sharing.

I read it differently to you
3 BONUS ENTRIES- Earn up to 3 extra bonus daily entries from sharing this competition by clicking on the share icons above.
I take that as if you share on social media ie facebook you get another entry into the draw the same with Twitter and email

The Twitter and email buttons both give you an extra entry the face book one comes up as not posted so no extra entry,I THINK i will have to email the mag !!

I don't think you get any extra entries into the draw you are sharing (on the mags).

For example with Now magazine it shows how many competitions you can still enter and starts with 25 (doesn't matter how many actual competitions there are) enter one without sharing and it drops to 24, but if you then enter another one and share it once it will remain on 24 entries available and if you shared twice it would be back up to 25.

Tried a FB share with Now and it went ok.

Another thread about the share just earning the chance to enter more

Just to reiterate what mjm said....

On most mags you get 25 entries per day, if there are 30 comps and you have used all 25 daily entries you can share 5 times on FB or twitter etc and enter the remaining 5 comps. You can share a gazillion times if you want but you only get one entry per comp per day and will just have a gazillion unused entries for that day.

I find sprinkle can be a bit temperamental and I have to share slowly and wait for the pop up before I move on to the next share.
    2017 wins = £1350
    2016 wins = £125 (18 months off comps)
    2015 wins = £6,460
    2014 wins = £1,350

Thanks for the replies, looks like I have been reading the mag comps wrong :( for the last couple of years.
Without sharing should make it quicker to enter anyway :D
