Best mortgage provider for £51k over 15years

Options
Hi everyone. just got my yearly statement from Leeds Building Society and i noticed we've been paying 5.69% which i find quite high. We've got £51,000 over 15 years left to pay our mortgage, currently £418 a month. Can anyone advise me on what type of deal i should be looking for? I wasn't sure if the mortgage deals where you have to pay set up fees are worth it seeing as our monthly payments are quite low anyway. thanks

I would avoid arrangement fees on a loan that size.

You can get roughly 2.6% fixed for 5 years at Skipton, fee free. There's probably better deals out there though. You can get 10 years fix at about 2.89% with First Direct.

For variable you can get even lower.
  • thanks for the reply Andrew. just had another look now. HSBC offer a fixed for 5 yr at 2.29% also fee free. Forgot to mention the house is valued at around £130k and that hsbc deal was for 60%LTV. So would you recommend that one instead or something else? thanks
