Rose pleased you were back in the dry and it's sunny for you.

Lo Sylvia. I'm always loosing my glasses and going into rooms not remembering what for. FireFly agree must be an age thing. Pleased you are really on the mend.

Sylvia GS has a place in a school a bus ride away and has settled in brilliantly. He's made friends and loves it. The only places for GD are too far away. So DS is going to try for a preschool place for her. Yes, it's been difficult all round.

Glad to see it is not me that goes in to rooms and forgetting while I am there lol. Off in an hour to pick up GKs . Hope I can console GD and also her mum. Her mum is so upset as well. Suppose she does not want her daughter to see this. Telephoned her mum got her out of bed. She is a nurse and works nightshift. DILs dad died when she was very young. Her mum is coming down a bit later as well. Luckily they still have grandad on DS side. Trying to get a hold of him. It may sound dramatic but she also has lost her great grandad and does not understand where he has gone. God love her.

  • Oh sorry aboout the GP Rose and hope you manage to console the GK's. Its alway a difficult one when animals you love pass on.

Glad you are at least able to go out and look around the garden a bit now firefly.

Glad GS has settled and school and made friends and hope you manage to find somewhere for GD soon too.

Have just had some lovely chicken soup for tea, will probably have a light supper later.

Aw that's a shame about the kids guinea pig Rose. Kids find it hard dealing with loss.

Sylvia I am exactly the same, I keep hiding biscuits to stop son eating them all and then I forget about them! Just yesterday I was explaining something to DD and for the life of me couldn't remember the word 'compare' :o Which is one of the reasons why I won't go back in to finish my nursing studies as my brain just isn't with it anymore!

Won't be long now fire**fly before you get back to doing other things xx

That's good news your GD got into a school ok leanfun :) fingers crossed it works out ok for the others too. I've applied for a different school for DD too but we don't find out until March next yr for next sept intake.

Alfie I bet it does sound cute hearing your puddy snore :) Do you wanna swap for an annoying noisy bloke who snores! :p

I've started getting into my quilt too now indie but tonight I gave in and put the heating on! I don't deal with cold very well! :D

I am so craving some chocolate right now and got none in whatsoever! I think I should go and get some tins of chocs while they're going cheap  (For Xmas of course  )

  • My friend's little girl has been disqualified from the Mountain Warehouse competition due to complaints that she was winning!!! Does anyone know off the top of their head/have a link to voting competition law? link to competition http://www.mountainwarehouse.com/competitions/charity/. Link to my friends f/b page https://www.facebook.com/groups/1771449886423142/permalink/1858953234339473/?pnref=story. It would seem that they have disqualified the top two entries not her alone, this stinks :(

Aw that's a shame clareycat. I generally stay away from voting comps as there always seems jealousy with it when people are winning. I'm not sure on any rules but I would guess it would come down to the promoter themselves what they decide you can and can't do. Maybe there might be something in the referrals thread perhaps. Hope your friend's little girl gets to win in the end.

ETA....just looked in referrals thread and I couldn't see anything but I'm sure they used to have something with 'vote for me comps' in there before! Maybe it was elsewhere, hope someone else can help.
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!
  • Thanks Wingobins. I know i have generally found voting comps to be horrific but my freinds little girl was guided into it on good faith by the chairty wich she is supporting and has thrown herslef into it to be unceramoniously dumped by the waysie today. I have contacted the CMA to see if they can help with looking into this matter, i will inform if i get anything back.

    Good morning everyone!

Me thinks that it's going to be a sunny day today :j
though can't tell at the mo cos it's pitch black
    outside! :p

The lovely weather people have forecast a mix of sun
and light clouds so that'll be just fine for me. soleil07j.gif

Awww - so sorry to hear the news of the little guinea
pig rose. It's always very hard when a much loved
pet passes away, however old you are. Sending your
    lovely GD big (((hugs))). xxx

Lol .... I'm getting so very forgetful ..... I have to
write myself a to do list but then can't remember where
    I put the bloomin' thing! :D :rotfl::rotfl:

Many thanks but I think I'll just stick with my puddy cat
re the snoring wingo! :D Oh - just read the 'chocolate'
word and it's made me want some now .... and at this
time of the morning too! :p:o

Sorry to hear of the 'voting' comp troubles Clareycat.
I'm the same as wingo - I generally stay away for
exactly the same reasons. Do keep us informed of how
you get on - I hope it resolves itself - it all sounds
most definitely as if jealousy is involved.

I've got a busy morning here so best get on ..... have a
lovely and lucky day all, take care and I'll pop by later. :)
