Afternoon peeps. Not been on for a while. Between being unwell was broken into in the middle of the night. They scampered when I put lights on Police have their van on cctv but it was stolen and dumped. they have a vague idea who it was as they have an outline of them on camera as well. Had to get a new door as one that was on was beyond repair. Insurance company have been very efficient but still a bit wary at night. Had a door alarm fitted as well as an outside light. Hope everyone is well.

Oh that's awful rose! :( Glad the insurance company are doing their job, but you must be pretty spooked! Was anything stolen?

No they didn,t get anything. But I am still pretty shaken up. I hear every noise in the night and jump every time door goes during the day. I am shaking even typing this. Doc has given me tablets but don't like taking them.

Sorry about your break in rose. It is horrible. At least we weren't here when we got burgled. DD took a long time to get over it as she discovered the mess they had made though.
I tried to look on the bright side and appreciated the nice new door we got.
Hope you feel better soon. x

Ho Rose so sorry to hear this. Its dreadful. No wonder you feel shaken. Do hope you feel better soon. Do hope the police catch the blighters. Great your insurance have been efficient.

Well here we had another great day our thanks to comping. We went to the BBC Good Food Show at Excel. I had thought a friend was coming with me but one of her friends mothers died suddenly last week, so she did want to go out. So DH came with me. He'd looked up and with Excel tickets we could go from near the millenium dome to Excel by Cable car for £2 each. Our first time on Cable car and fortunately it was sunny when we went and great views. its like to the east of the bend in the river you see on East Enders.

It was a bit strange because Thursdays WEM Had heading of Show but not who it was from and said no recipients. Collecting tickets the lady did have my name on a list but she could not tell me who I had won with. We also had tickets for the theatre and watched the Hemsley sisters cooking cauliflower rice and a desert. We only bought a knife sharpener, which we needed and picked up the goody bag which had a lot of new drinks in and was heavy. Train home and were very lucky to be indoors not long after it poured with rain.

Im on laptop now and find it very strange after iPad, also this has Portuguese keyboard so can't find some things on it i.e. apostrophe. iPad going too slow this evening. DH saved about £240 when he bought this last year on holiday!!

Hope everyone has had a good weekend.

    Hi!

Hope you are all ok? I haven't been around for a while as we've been away and I've had laptop trouble.. had to wipe the whole thing and start again, which is frustrating! Working better than it did when it was new now though!! :)

Still no win for me, and I guess because I've had a bit of a break for a couple of weeks, there wont be for some time to come.. Will get back into comping over the next week or two!

Any wins for you over the weekend?

    Jenny

The cable car ride is great! I did it with my mum 18 months ago, and my hubby and I were going to do it when we were in London but hubby wasn't feeling very well and didn't feel up to it.. we'll have to put it on the list of things to do when we next go to London. When Mum and I did the cable car, we just did it one way towards the O2 and then did a boat trip from there to Westminster..
