This thread sums up the disgusting nature of this board,
To be honest I know for a fact there is several more regular poster who would have thanked your opening post in a nano second, but they are just too PC savvy to have done so.0 -
If someone wants to rent and it suits them then good luck to them.
Most people wouldn't give it much thought but the chap in question tells us never having bought a house fills him with pride and, of course, he's posting on the good ship HPC.
Maybe there's more to the story.0 -

I strongly suspect that when we eventually start wintering in Spain (or the Algarve), we'll end up renting there. Even though buying would probably be cheaper, I just can't see us putting up with additional hassle, just to save a few quid. It might be different though, if it affects our quality of life, then it might be worth some hassle to buy.Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -
well, he is obviously one or all of the following...
Mentally challenged in some way
A massive failure in life
A filthy peasant who the home owning population would not want to be compared to
Either way, its obvious that anyone who has bought a home should look down at him, and also throw things at him if they see him
I was nodding along but then when I got to the bit about throwing things I realised you were probably being sarcastic.0 -

Your BCR would be eyewateringly high, then.0 -
I bet there are quite a few negative equity owners who wish they had stuck to renting. What we sometimes forget is that not everyone is the same, has the same priorities and the same desires. Why would it bother anyone so much what someone else chooses to do when it doesn't affect them?Mr Generous - Landlord for more than 10 years. Generous? - Possibly but sarcastic more likely.0

Where are you "wintering" now, Wood Green...?:rotfl: Might not be too bad, didn`t there used to be a very famous jazz club there? Life`s short mate, best get spending all that cash you are sitting on and live out your dream winters now IMO. Think I`ll pop over to Portugal soon, the Edinburgh winter is just not cutting it these days, definite vitamin D deficiency creeping in. Prefer Porto to the Algarve though.0 -
