I have a tefal one. The cooking times for chips vary a lot. Thin frozen ones can take less than 10 minutes while freshly made can take 40. It depends on the type of potato, the thickness of the chip and the amount being cooked. It's very much trial and error at first but it's best to keep checking on them while they are cooking
I like the chips cooked in it, especially french fries but you can't beat proper deep fried chips0 -
freshly made can take 40.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Make sure they are dry, similar size and put a tablespoon full of olive oil. Don't do too many at once. My tefal takes just over 1 kg.0

I can do home-made wedges cooked in beef dripping in that time - and I know which would taste the best.0
