New job but have an iva

:( I've recently been for an interview and offered a the job at hsbc, subject to checks.

I got an iva out as my ex got me in !!!! lots of debt and I had no alternative really ( what a fool I am)

I've stated this on the background check, just wondering if anyone knows if this would be an instant withdrawal on the job offer

Thanks

Part of a contract of employment with any financial institution specifies that your own finances have to be maintained to an acceptable standard.

It prevents temptation to 'self help'
You can't help people if you can't help yourself kind of thing...

Generally HSBC insist that your main account is with them and you agree to it being monitored.

No instant withdrawal is mainly due to failure to declare, time in arrangement and can also depend totally on role and advertisement say so.

Might be asked more questions, hope you get the outcome you are wanting :)
  • Thanks everyone - I hope in this case honesty is the best policy and the outcome is a good one ☺️
