Popping in to record progress! As of yesterday from my starting position of being £42,000 in debit , I've cleared £38,400 and the snowball on my penultimate credit card finished yesterday. One left to go! £3,400 and as that's the only debt repayment left it won't take too long now.

It's been a combination of hard work and dumb luck, I can claim no credit for the dumb luck element :), But I can hardly describe how good it feels not to have to worry about the post or phone calls, to be able to sleep soundly at night. It's amazing and I'm incredibly thankful.

As soon as that last CC is gone I can start building up some savings. I'm not even remotely tempted to go on a splurge but I have relaxed the household budget a little and that feels like sheer luxury.

And thank you everyone for the support. This situation isn't something I've been able to share with friends or family so it's good to have somewhere to pop in and :j

Great news. i get so inspired by people like you who have just knuckled dow and shifted a huge amount of debt. Awesome work.

I also strongly believe that its only by doing this, and experiencing the pain that goes with it that we will ever be truly committed to being debt free.

    Good stuff.
