Hi, Hope someone can help me,
I have looked at both Noddle and Experian and both say I have a outstanding debt with Scottish power. (but both state no account numbers)
So I rang Scottish Power to pay and clear said debt (which is now 4years old)
Because I have no details and they cant find me on the records they will not take my money.
How do I go about looking for my old account number to pay and clear my credit file?
Help Please!!!

Do you think you do owe it, or could they have got your details mixed up with someone else? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
Hi,
You don't need any account details, Just dispute the entry with the credit reference agency's stating no debt exists.
If that fails complain to the information commissioner :

I do owe this bill.
It's outstanding from a rental we lived in years back when I was younger and not so clever with my money.
I now want to grow up and get a mortgage in the future so I'm on a clean up task.0 -

Well it will only be on your file for a further 2 years anyway.
So do a written complaint to Scottish power, info here :

If still not resolved take it to ombudsman services :
