While I'm used to these type of emails they usually have the competition or company name in the email. This hasn't so I'm just wondering if it's spam or not?

Did you enter this competition posted today? If so then its for that. I entered that competition and it said "One unconfirmed entry".. received that email, clicked the link and it says my entry is now confirmed

The type of competition it is gives you one valid entry but then more entries for referral links.. hence the 'contests that spread virally' comment. it was from a competition posted on the forum earlier today and seems completely legit to me :beer:
