Has anyone heard of the money club?

My hubbie has been contacted by them. Apparently you pay £98 for an annual membership and they use their "collective buying power" to negotiate wholesale prices on products for their members.

Personally I think he's being naive thinking that after he's paid the membership he'll ever hear from them again, but maybe that's just my suspicious nature.

If they are legit, I still don't think it's worth joining as it's just one of those things you would probably never use - a bit like gym membership.

What do you guys think???

I have both joined them and then later supplied them with temporary workers! They are a genuine outfit but as you said it is something you would likely forget about and not really use.

They did try and scam me, as once i'd paid I received the catalogue and decided I wouldn't really benefit from it, I cancelled in writing well within the 14 days (could have been 28) Do you think I ever saw the money? Of course not. Hindsight being the wonderful thing it is I should have sent the letter recorded but didn't.

Bought it up with the owner when he approached my agency to supply them some years later and he was able to track back and refund me the money :rotfl:
