Have you tried ebay yet? There are plenty of bargains there - just watch what you buy.

Just be careful on eBay, since there are hundreds, if not thousands of sellers trying to flog links instead of the real thing. Most of them try to get a tenner for the link, which itself is a scam.
Some of these crafty b******** will put in a small line to say it’s only a link and make sure that its hidden in a whole paragraph full of technical details that they pull from the Nokia site.
Here is an example of a link which at first sight looks like a genuine deal:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=22325&item=6327527974&rd=1
and here is a really good one. Very difficult to spot that it’s a link:

The logic is if the price looks to good to be true, it is!. Just to be sure when you go to the item page do a Ctrl F and type in “Link” to find where these people have hidden true facts of the auction.
As a result most genuine sellers would put in a bold disclaimer right at the top of the auction saying “ Actual phone NOT a link”
So just be careful before rushing in and buying what you think is a phone from an auction.!My reality check bounced.0 -
Excellent advice Indy. In the second of your examples, one buyer had actually paid £60 for the link and was not a happy bunny - see their feedback.0

perhaps someone should use the buy now on his other ( same ) items on a " pretend " username and not pay up
1 He gets hit with ebay fees
2. Buyer can leave immeidate neg feedback - that will make his rating look pretty awfulAny posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0 -
Since link selling is prohibited by ebay:
And I quote " Listings of URLs that offer buyers the opportunity to purchase items outside of eBay are prohibited."
You can report sellers doing this and get their items removed.
Might be worth doing that so they don't sucker anyone else.
Although there's little stopping them from simply setting up another account, but that's eBay for you.Marillion - A Better Way of Life.0 -
Just had a look through ebay and some dirty rotters are even selling pictures of the phones - very small print at bottom of page tells you that is what you are buying.........buyer beware - always check their feedback - i always do and very rarely use first timers - you only get stung once in this game. You cant take the trousers off an elephant!0
