From my limited experience of New York I would say the grid system of roads has an equally important role to play.0

Seems to me if we can take a small ex industrial plot in E London and turn it into 50m of foreign earnings it is a lot better than having to fund all our fancy shiny electronics by working hard to produce something for export.I think....0
