It's a relatively large amount, especially when you don't have it.

I've never met a farmer in Britain who has needed to borrow £2.5k this far into the year to buy seed. Every farm I know (I live on one) has already planted the seeds for this year's crop.

The fields next to my cottage are already filled with growing plants.

And how do you propose to pay back the £2.5k in three months when any seeds planted now would not be ready to harvest until August/September?
