Mortgage for a Tier 2 visa holder

Hi,

I am a non-EU national with a Tier 2 visa. Currently 2 years in UK, with 8 month left on visa.
Are there any chances for me to get a mortgage now (and what possible LTV)?

Or I should wait till I extend my visa?

Yes potentially, I would say 25% deposit ideally.

The difficulty is that lenders want the time remaining on your visa to be at least as long as your mortgage term so you may have to wait until you have Indefinite Leave.

Building a credit history is also a challenge, particularly without being able to get on the electoral roll, so I would suggest getting a UK credit card soon as you can, if you haven't done so already.

and most others say that you need at least 2 years on your visa,
