Can anyone confirm when staying with same mortgage provider, but switching product, do they work out LTV on purchase price or current value

Current value, most lenders have an 'index/desktop' valuation. If you're not happy with that, you can pay to get one done.0

I was sure it was but some one mentioned on another theard that is was done on purchase price, and that didn't make sense to me.
